Stuck in Time

This piece is based on a conversation I had with my Paternal Grandmother who has Alzheimer's disease. "Please Grandma come home, I’m begging you to come home! Let go of your own world and come home to me! If it be for a second or two I don’t care I just want you to come home and love me. Just love me. I wish you could go beyond 1937 And I could go back to 1997 But I can’t But you can’t So I must conform to this frozen moment, having this love forever live in this photograph."

Unapologetically Me

I’m understanding that when God made me he made me unique He said “here is Amaris world I have made her in my own image” “She will have a quirky laugh” “She will have crazy hair” “She will have a heart that cares” “90% of the time she’ll be the loudest person in the room” “Her ears will be big, and she will think she’s funny” “I have made her after myself, I made her in my own image, so she could reflect me” “She is perfectly imperfect.”
